Dear Colleague -
WELCOME to Fast Track for Veterinarians seeking nutritional advice.
We are most willing to formulate a homemade diet and make appropriate unbiased commercial dietary recommendations for your patients. These are not generic recipes as each consult is done on an individual case basis taking into account the medical condition(s), household logistics, owner preferences, and food items the animal appears to eat consistently. If you would like PetDiets.com business cards for your clients, please send us a short note with a postal address through "Contact Us".
Fees:
-
Consultation fee is $250 for pet owners completing the consultation request and we will respond to their questions about the diet(s) recommended.
-
Consultation fee is $150 to veterinarians who complete the consultation request and then handle all communications with the pet owner.
-
We do not charge an initial fee for vet's pets with a medical condition as a professional courtesy.
Dietary requests for individual patients are what we do best.

The fee covers review of all the necessary medically relevant information and diet formulation or product recommendations. It also covers all questions regarding our dietary recommendations. There is an additional discounted fee if the pet's condition changes or a new formulation is requested. We can, on paper, balance most any reasonable dietary request for a homemade diet. The homemade diet instructions are quite detailed but yet give options and allow for food substitutions if appropriate. The homemade formulations usually involve a meat, grain, +/- vegetables and a single, readily available specifically designed all-in-one vitamin/mineral supplement. We give the daily food amounts in both metric and common kitchen measures specific to the patient.
Our recommendation letter is sent directly to the primary care veterinarian by fax for review. The veterinarian then passes the information onto their client in agreement.
Your Options from here:
1. Direct your client to the www.petdiets.com web site, they click on "Nutrition Consultations, and complete the information. They will be required to identify a primary care veterinarian and contact information. We usually can complete the request within 15 business days.
OR
2. Continue here and complete the consult request form for your patient (or personal pet). We will complete the request within 10 business days, or contact you directly.
Either way, please fax the most relevant medical records to us at 800-649-2043, or leave a voice message of any length at 508-429-4845 at any time.
